• He succeeds Sagree Sardien, who has decided to leave the company by May 31, 2026, at her own request and in best mutual agreement, to pursue new professional opportunities. 
 

Mathias Vaitl, currently President & CEO of Mercedes Benz Korea Ltd., will take over the responsibility as Head of Sales & Marketing Mercedes Benz Vans effective July 1, 2026. He succeeds Sagree Sardien, who has decided to leave the company by May 31, 2026, at her own request and in best mutual agreement, to pursue new professional opportunities.

Mathias Vaitl began his professional career at Mercedes Benz 2005 in Dealer Network Development at Mercedes-Benz Česká Republika after three years of sales experience at a Mercedes-Benz dealership. Following several strategic roles in Stuttgart, he moved to China in 2011 where he initially led the Training Organization & Infrastructure department before taking over responsibility for Warranty, Goodwill & Service Contracts at Beijing Mercedes-Benz Sales Service Co., Ltd. (BMBS). Mathias Vaitl returned to Germany in 2015 as Head of Global Sales Steering at Global Services & Parts and eventually led the Global Training activities for Mercedes Benz. In 2020, he became Head of Mercedes me, Digital Services Business and eCommerce before he took over his current role as President & CEO of Mercedes-Benz Korea in 2023.
