Supervisory Board extends contract of service of Andreas Renschler, Member of the Board of Management for Commercial Vehicles

In its meeting today, the Supervisory Board extended the contract of service of Andreas Renschler (51), Member of the Board of Management of Daimler AG for Commercial Vehicles, until September 30, 2013. Renschler, who has been a member of the Board of Management since 2004, is also responsible for Daimler's bus business.

Renschler's contract would have expired in September 2010. Pursuant to Section 84, Subsection 1 of Germany's Stock Corporation Act (AktG), the Supervisory Board decides on the reappointment of members of the Board of Management after the beginning of the last year of their current period of office. The extension for three years as of October 1, 2010 is in accordance with general practice at Daimler that contracts of service are for a period of three years, both for initial appointments and for reappointments.
